Android emulator - screen shot showing blank

Hi All,

after googling , filed a ticket

meantime any idea of workaround to get this working ?

Also for ruby lib , there are 3 methods save_screenshot , screenshot_as , screenshot.

any idea what is the difference between these ?

Uncheck the host GPU. I have faced this problem and the element tree is displayed but the Screenshot is completely black.

Thanks @pr4bh4sh for reply. but unchecking host GPU makes emulator slower for me

I found this bug working with API level 22 , but found a new issue as below

It’s not an Appium issue, it’s the android emulator.

It’s also the first answer you get when you google “android emulator black screen”
