How to install Appium-Desktop on Ubuntu16

Can you give me a step by step on how to install the Appium- Desktop on Ubuntu16.

Currently I have Appium installed and can start it from the terminal and automate Android.
But now I want the GUI version, in order to do iOS, as I cannot find any info on how to do this, other than using the Appium-Desktop.
On Git, there is a .exe (Windows), .dmg (Mac), so I downloaded the Source tar.gz from https://github.com/appium/appium-desktop/releases/
and extracted it, but I don’t know how to install and start it! The Readme.md gives me no info to do this.

Can you please help? I am new to this… Many thanks in advance,

Looks like the latest beta release (1.2.0-beta.3) does not have an AppImage binary. You should use the one from 1.2.0-beta.2:

Yes I saw this, The person who replied said he provided Appium 1.0.0 - beta.
I could not find it!
