@brentlavelle I am not sure what you want to do with swipe gesture, but I am able to use swipe on real device ( my app use swipe down gesture to refresh the view).
Unfortunately it does not work on simulator and this has been confirmed by this thread: iOS 8 swipe / scrollTo
