# I got an error in appium while running the script through Eclipse

FAILED CONFIGURATION: @BeforeTest setUp

Hi Prem,

Log is saying that activity is doesn’t exist.  
from where you get these packages and activity.

capabilities.setCapability(“appPackage”, “Calculator”);  
capabilities.setCapability(“appPackage”, “.CalculatorActivity”);  
capabilities.setCapability(“appActivity”, “com.miui.calculator.cal”);

only one package will be there, you have written two app packages.

To find out the app package and activity use the following setps.

1. download the app and keep it in your local folder.
2. Launch the appium and click on android symbol.
3. select the application check box and click on choose button.
4. select the app from your local folder.
5. again click on android symbol.
6. there you will find the package and launch activity.
7. use that package and launch activity in your script for appPackage and appActivity it will work.

**capabilities.setCapability(“appPackage”, “Calculator”);**  
**capabilities.setCapability(“appPackage”, “.CalculatorActivity”);**  
capabilities.setCapability(“appActivity”, “com.miui.calculator.cal”);

U r using **two** app packages which not correct  
remove incorrect app package pathAppium is refering to 2nd app package path which may be wrong.  
Pls verify

**Get App Package and App Activity from below steps**

1. cmd window

2. adb shell  
copy below cmd

3. **dumpsys window windows | grep -E 'mCurrentFocus|mFocusedApp’**

Thanks for your solution, but I am trying to automate the native app in mobile like Calculator, so how I have to know the Application package and activity of the native app

after run the script through the Eclipse I got the below error

Note: Need to make sure that the application is opened on the device  
Once you type command with the application opened on your computer, it will display the appPackage and appActivity.

first one is app package and second one highlighted in app activity

I did but I got the below error

I got this error again
