How to launch appium inspector from terminal

Guys,
I need info related to how can we launch appium inspector from terminal.
I am using Mac book pro 10.11.6 MacOS, Samsung android tab 6.0.1 android and Appium 1.6.3
when I do “appium &” it starts appium server. Need command to launch appium inspector.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.

There’s no way to load the inspector from terminal or command line. You have to open the app, select Appium > Start New Session and then either attach to an existing session or start a new session and point the host and port to the Appium server.
