No exception is throwing if element is not found

Issue:
No exception is throwing if element is not found.Appium is keep on searching for the element indefenitely.
Iam using appium 1.7.1,ios-11.2.1,iphone 7 plus real device with selenium java.
Can anyone help me on this?

if yes ,please let me know what is solution (I am also looking for this )
