It would be much better if you follow the recommended h/w specification. As Appium site http://appium.io/getting-started.html?lang=en
If you still decide to continue with your current specification you can certainly do that as the appium specification 10.7 is supported but you might face some issue with Xcode dependencies.

So the Answer for your question is No, You will get some issue for sure.

Memory: 4GB RAM
OS: Mac OS x Lion 10.7.5

i want to update the OS to OS X Yosemite, Will it update? And is compatible working with Appium? Please let me know ASAP…

Yes you can and it’s not necessary that you upgrade to Yosemite you can have any version of 10.8 to 10.10
