Appium1.1.0.0 Inspector : Error Starting Selenium Driver

Hi All,

I am trying to inspect my mobile app elements(from emulator) using UI Automator Viewer. But the same is not giving much details for me to build the correct Xpath. So as per review comments, I am trying to make use of Appium Inspector. But the same is giving me Error Starting Selenium Driver.

Help Please!

I got this issue resolved. PFB the solution

  1. You should set the “Pre-launch app” option in the general settings and then launch appium.
  2. Once the app launches start the inspector and click on Refresh.
  3. You will then be able to see the page and elements in the appium inspector
