Does Appium supports one app triggers another app on iOS real device?

Hi,
We have two apps (app1, app2). When app1 is starting, it will triger app2 and start app2 automatically. We need do some operations in app2 and quit, then we can continus in app1. When we try it on iOS real device with Appium, we got “info: [debug] [INST] 2015-06-05 02:24:23 +0000 Fail: Could not start script, target application is not frontmost.”. I wonder, if this kind of scenario is supported by Appium?

@jlipps do we support this on real device?
If the app start you may be able to switch context to use, but support depends on iOS Instruments support and i m not 100% sure about what is supported.
