How to do verification after switching from one app to another in ios?

I have a test case which have flow link following

  1. Click on link from App A
  2. Link will open in safari . I need to validate the URl whether it navigates correctly or not
    3.And then I need to switch back to my App A.

Please let me know if it possible in ios 9+ versions. If so please provide me an idea to do so as I am new to App automation
