New to Appium/Appium Desktop

Just recently started learning Appium for work purposes.

I am trying to get familiar with Appium Desktop(Appium Server GUI) and Appium CLI.
I then found out in the Appium Desktop documentation that the Appium Desktop application is no longer maintained since the transition from 1.x to 2.0.

Can any experts in the community confirm if this is the case? Since the Youtube Tutorial Videos on the Appium site are still the old videos from 5 years ago.

I’m hoping that the desktop will be maintained once Appium 2 is out of Beta. For now though, you can run Inspector with Appium 2 server from command line. Read here:
