The Appium Inspector is not highlighting elements properly

I’m trying to use the Appium Inspector to record actions and generate code, but it’s not highlighting the elements that I click on in the 3-column-view properly. I am seeing the red highlighting above or below the element, and sometimes the size of the highlighting is too big.

Here’s an example:

How do I get it to accurately highlight the element?

Here is what I’m running on:

  • Platform: iOS
  • iPhone Simulator
  • Appium Version 1.3.3 (Ophiuchus)
  • Operating System: Mac OS X v10.9.

Had the same issue , the problem is (was in my case) the adjustment of the size for the inspector’s window…
Try to reset the sizes (worked form me only by reinstalling the appium)
