What is the difference between Appium and Appium desktop?

Hi all,

I am new to Appium. When I trying to install Appium in my system(Windows) I found appium-desktop-Setup-1.1.1.exe. Later I found Appium 1.6.5. And I am totally confused of these two. Can anyone clarify please.

Appium is simply used for mobile automation and run with a node js server .
