what is the latest Appium version

I want to run my scripts for Android 7.0, 7.1 nougat

Is the latest version supports this Android OS

I am currently using AppiumForWindows_1_4_16_1.zip, which has the support for Android Marshmallow, but i am not seeing any Windows exe files for 1.5.2 or 1.5.3 versions only dmg file is there. how to install the latest one

or do i need to upgrade my Android SDK which will support the 7.0 version. Please help

The latest version of appium can be found here. Currently, 1.6.2 is the latest but does not have a GUI version available. You can install it using npm.

If you want to use the latest GUI version available, it can be found here (1.5.3) but be sure to read the release notes to make sure it will be compatible with what you want to test.

Also, a very small amount of research could have gotten you all of these answers… google.com is your friend.

How to install the appium application, it is in dmg format, how to i install as like earlier versions

You will need to convert it to a .iso file and then mount it to a virtual drive and install.

You can download virutal drive mounting software like Power ISO or Daemon Tools Lite to do this. Simply mount the file to a disk (look up instructions if needed) and then run it.

I have already converted the file to .iso and you can find it here.

Please Note: I have not tried this myself but based on the fact that a .dmg is just a disk image file, this should work for you on Windows.

so are you aware of the latest version for Android devices, will the 1.4.16.1 version supports Noughat 7.0 or higher. still i am not seeing any update for Android devices
